Here is a little summary of my history and how I got to this point...

As a graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone college of art in 2003, I began exhibiting work and pursuing my career as an artist, but I'd always wanted to open my own retail space and eventually I got there.

Junction art and gifts was established in July 2008 and so my dream of owning my own art gallery and gift store had finally became a reality.

After nearly 11 years of lots of hard work, lots and lots of ups and downs, rebranding, adding picture framing, staff and meeting many excellent artists, makers and customers, oh and starting a family along the way, I decided it was time for a change and closed the physical doors of Junction arts in April 2019. It was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make but it felt like the right thing to do and it turned out that it was.

Since then I had a bit of break to gather my breath and then began trying to figure out who I was an artist, it's been a lot time since I focused on any creative endeavors myself.

I'm now hoping to use Junction arts as the branding for my own work, rather than it being an umbrella to support fellow artists and makers as it used to be.

Although I still have a long road to go to even begin to think about exhibiting or taking part in any makers fairs, I wanted to at least make a start on my new path and I hope you'll come along for the ride.
